1/2 C. Sugar
1 Egg
2 large ripened Bananas
1 t. Vanilla
1 C. Flour
1 t. Baking Soda
2 T. Cocoa Powder

Lightly grease a 9×5 loaf pan with vegetable oil.  In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together.  Stir in egg, mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla until well blended.  Add baking soda, cocoa powder, and flour.  Mix everything until well incorporated (about 3 minutes).  Add chocolate chips.

Pour batter into loaf pans and bake for 50 minutes.  Insert a tooth pick into the center of the loaf and check to see if it comes out clean when you pull it out.

  2. Because this was such an outstanding success at the last community get-together, I have made two loaves for the Coloma Lotus Chamber of Commerce mixer tomorrow. No doubt it will be a big hit! I will let you know.
