Grilled Pineapple Kebabs

Almost candy.

Grilled Pineapple Kebabs
From Allrecipes

Directions:
1 fresh Pineapple
1/4 t. Honey
3 T. Butter, melted
1 dash Hot Pepper Sauce

Instructions:
Soak kebab sticks in water until they no longer float.  Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple and hack lengthwise into eighths.  Trim off the middle core and outside prickly side from each eighth.

Mix honey, butter, hot pepper sauce, and salt and place pineapple into marinade.  Marinate for however long you think is appropriate.

Skewer pineapple eighths with kebab sticks and preheat grill pan.  Grill pineapple for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until heated through and grill marks appear.

  1. These pineapple kabobs are a great appetizer pairing with the jalapeno poppers. We BBQed them for about twenty minutes, flipping every few minutes or so until they were nicely browned. Wonderful taste and texture!

    1. Marinating? I'd say at least half an hour but up to as long as you like.

    1. Yep, that's right - your pineapple will be sweet already so it doesn't need much.
