White Pizza with Cabbage

OK - not pretty.  But it has potential!

White Pizza with Cabbage
Adapted from When Harry Met Salad
Note: don't be scared by how soggy it looks in that icky picture above - that was totally my fault and not this poor recipe's fault.  The original recipe called for steaming the greens (I used cabbage because I ran out of the kale the recipe called for) and I think I just insufficiently dried them.  Below is what I think will be a better adaptation . . .

Ingredients:
Pizza Dough (you're on your own here - I'm still intimidated and my pre-made one was nothing special)
4 T. Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
2 C. Cabbage, shredded
6-8 oz. fresh Mozzarella, cut into 1/4” slices
1 Roma Tomato, sliced
4 oz. Goat Cheese, crumbled
1/4 C. Parmesan, grated

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Mix 2 T. olive oil with 1 clove minced garlic and set aside.  Brush the garlic oil mixture over the pizza dough.  Top with mozzarella and tomato slices, then scatter the kale over the cheese.  Crumble goat cheese over the kale, then top with grated parmesan.

Bake in preheated oven for 8-12 minutes or until crust is crisp and cheese is bubbly.  Serve!

  1. I've never thought about adding cabbage to pizza, but it sounds and looks good.
